Sagra del Torvicello

Go back

The Sagra del Torvicello (Torvicello Festival) is a great opportunity to discover the flavours of Torvaianica, the little seaside resort of Pomezia, which was one of the Foundation Cities of the early 20th century.

The event is held every summer and is a festival that celebrates the Torvicello, a thick handmade spaghetti typical of Torvaianica made from a mixture of spelt flour, type 0 flour and wholemeal flour.

It is creamed with fresh local anchovies, San Marzano tomatoes, fennel, white wine, basil, onion, garlic and chilli pepper, and to finish, sprinkled with Pecorino Romano PDO cheese.

A truly appetising and tasty first course that reflects the ancient traditions of coastal towns. Don't miss it.
