Giglietti (Lilies) of Priverno
Giglietti are delicious dry cookies that are typical of Priverno, with an unmistakable and elegant shape. A really easy recipe within everyone's reach.
Flour, eggs, sugar and grated lemon peel
Whisk the eggs, then add sugar and lemon peel and mix.
Then add the flour by pouring it in very slowly. Do not let the dough come apart; it must remain soft.
Take the dough with a spoon and place it in the baking pan, giving it the shape of a lily.
Finally, sprinkle them with granulated sugar.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes, making sure they turn a golden colour.
