Its shape and façade evoke the gracefulness of the pipes of a majestic organ, giving a feeling of harmony and serenity. Here, on the bell tower, the symbols of the four Evangelists proudly stand out: Matthew represented as a man/angel, Mark as the mighty lion, Luke as the majestic ox and John as the proud eagle.
The parish and the modern oratory are dedicated to Blessed Pia Marta, a precious bond that reflects the spirituality rooted in this community.
The devotion to St. Anne is a distinctive feature of Pontinia. The choice of St. Anne as patron saint is a tribute to the profound devotion that the settlers from Ferrara brought with them. The statue of St. Anne, located to the right before entering the church, deserves special mention. Here, you can admire all the tender mementos and birth ribbons of the many children who have received her blessing and who are linked to her in a special way.
